When we made the decision on selling our much loved home we went through the normal process in contacting several real estate agencies in the area. Going through this process was an experience where on occasion we were given what I felt were High Ball Appraisals & then told that the sky was the limit on our sale price. It left one feeling like we were being patronised to the extreme & quite frankly an insult to one’s intelligence. It was a bit run down so we gave them relatively free reign to do it up to provide the best possible presentation. That said, Michael’s team and their trades, (including painters, handymen, cleaners and stylists) were frugal with their costs so for about a $20k spend it easily added $100k to the asking price. Although failing to sell at auction, Michael persisted with new buyers using his excellent negotiating skills to reach our asking price, which was $100k above the reserve we would have otherwise accepted at Auction. We were always kept well informed of developments, the whole process being quite painless once you make that initial, daunting decision to go ahead. An excellent result, thanks!
