When we bought our Newtown home in 2010, Duncan was the selling agent. As buyers, Duncan was proactive in bringing us in and getting us to the auction. He kept in touch and provided accurate answers to our many questions. Of course, on auction day, as agent for the vendors, he extracted every dollar he could from us. I forgive him for that (just!). By 2015, our family had outgrown our home and it was time for us to sell. We knew immediately that Duncan was the agent that we wanted to work with. Raine and Horne have managed our property under a rental situation for some time now. Duncan continued to show interest in the property albeit his role is more sales directed. Over time, Duncan fielded many enquiries from us concerning market movements and general sales information. When finally decided to proceed with a sale, Duncan proposed a sales campaign prior to Spring to take advantage of the current Sydney housing market fluctuation. Duncan assisted me in the sale of my unit at Redfern. The service Duncan provided was very good in that he kept me updated at all times on the outcomes of the open house. He contacted me after every open house on the same day and provided an update two days later as well after following up with interested clients that visited during the open house. Most of us only deal with property transactions a few times in our lives and expect it to be stressful. Duncan made the sales process easy for me. He made wise suggestions about timing (to avoid holiday periods and to line up with settlement on the purchase of another property) and preparing the property for sale – he recommended some simple changes that were inexpensive but I think made the property attractive to more buyers. He provided regular, comprehensive information on interested buyers. He also gave me the option when offers for the property intensified prior to auction to hold a last minute silent auction despite it being a real hassle for him to have to administer compared to a 15 minute auction process.
