This large period home, with huge potential to renovate, is an exciting prospect for astute buyers. Set on a deep block of level land with a north rear aspect, it is one of a pair of handsome two-storey houses with identical Victorian facades & an iron lace balcony on the upper level.

Freestanding on its western side, the house has a traditional terrace layout & high ceilings throughout. Ripe for upgrading or a substantial redesign, it presents limitless scope for improvement given it has large rooms with beautiful original features including pressed metal ceilings & marble fireplaces.

At entry level are interconnecting formal sitting & dining rooms of generous proportions. Both rooms have polished timbers floorboards & original fireplaces, while the sitting room features a wide bay window. Tall folding timber doors can be drawn across to separate the two rooms.

Off the dining room is a short hallway with a side door opening to a path leading to an outside laundry and the back garden. Off this hallway are a tiled bathroom and a large eat-in kitchen with an adjoining living area.

Upstairs are four bedrooms and a white-tiled bathroom with a shower above the bath. In the main bedroom are an original marble fireplace and a tall sash window opening to the iron lace balcony overlooking the leafy street. The second bedroom has an open fireplace with a timber surround.

Situated in a sought after street renowned for its lifestyle convenience, the property is footsteps from Stanmore village shops & railway station, while historic Stanmore Public School is directly across the road.
