House

2 bedrooms
1 bathroom

Sold

$907,500

Defined by high ceilings, warm character and a well-scaled layout, this single-storey Victorian terrace is perfectly positioned to enjoy the Stanmore lifestyle.

Set on a deep & level block in a premium enclave, the house stands behind a pretty front garden planted with camellias, gardenias, and Lillie's, while at the back is a private and sunny courtyard with a vine covered pergola that adds a wonderful sense of privacy.

In a wide and quiet tree lined street with easy parking and no through traffic, it presents a tremendous scope for buyers to update and add value with a contemporary renovation.

Leading off the entry are two double bedrooms, both with mirrored built-in wardrobes. A beautiful coffered plaster ceiling with decorative cornice is a feature of the front bedroom, while the second bedroom has a skylight.

Beyond the hall are a sitting room (with a skylight, enclosed fireplace and gas heating bayonet) and a short hallway leading past a neat white-tiled bathroom and laundry to a spacious open-plan kitchen and family/dining room area with French doors opening to side and rear courtyards with rear lane access and potential parking (Subject to council approval).

Ideally located, the property is close to buses, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, University of Sydney, Stanmore Train Station and village shops.

Learn more about Stanmore

Stanmore was named by a prosperous saddler, John Jones, who purchased land in 1835 where Newington College now stands and called it the Stanmore Estate. Jones named it after his birthplace of Stanmore, London.
